On 26th February, the International Participant and Public Involvement (PPI) Consumer Reference Group met for the second time to discuss the current stage of the Homeside Study. The PPI team is made up of over 25 people from Australia, Norway, Poland, UK and Germany. These people are passionate about dementia carer have a personal experience with dementia, either currently or in the past. On 26th February we heard about the country specific PPI meetings and discussed some effective strategies for recruitment. It was frequently emphasised that although involvement in the Homeside project could seem like an additional burden for the companions of people living with dementia, the use of music and reading at home could become a helpful tool to support daily life. These members shared their great appreciation to be a part of the group, to share their experiences.
